Comfortable in sports, lifestyle and comedy, Parisian director Joaquim Bayle has already directed commercials for clients such as Nike, Google, Carhartt Wip, Asics, Adidas, Oakley, Cowboy Bikes and Jordan.

His style avoids superficiality and is always in the service of the project’s intention, with a focus on creating stripped-down ads.

During these years, which he saw as an artistic challenge, he began to take an interest in a very singular and existential cinema, drawing its inspiration from tragicomedy and absurdity. His first short film, GWENDOLINE, a black comedy about a post-punk band desperately searching for an audience to play to, was screened at top-tier Oscar-qualifying film festivals (Jury’s honorable mention at the Slamdance Festival, Cinema Jove in Valencia, AIFVF. . .).

In 2024, he also wrote and directed his second short film, LE PAS DE CÔTÉ, a philosophical tale about the paradox of desire, halfway between a tale of everyday life and a surrealist film.

Over the last 10 years, Joaquim has worked as a freelance film director in advertising, spanning several industries: lifestyle, sport, fashion, music, entertainment and culture.
Recently he has just begun a new and exciting chapter in his career as a senior creative copywriter specializing in films and images at CHANEL.
